About me

Hello.

I write for executives, in their own voice. I took the scenic route to get here: a childhood across three cities, a music degree, journalism school and a professional kitchen.

How I got here

My Life: The Scenic Route

  1. Paris · Hong Kong · Shanghai2007–2014

    A childhood in three cities

I grew up moving between Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai. What stayed with me: passable Mandarin, and a lasting attachment to Sichuan food.

    Music, and everything around it

I studied music at the University of Hull and graduated with a first. Music taught me to watch for movement in culture and society before it has a name.

Around the degree I was treasurer of the Music Society, a faculty representative for Arts, Cultures and Humanities, and directed two productions, including The Yeomen of the Guard. I also spent two years as a live sound and lighting technician at Middleton Hall.

  3. Dublin · UCD2022–2023

    Learning structure

The CNN Academy’s journalism and international affairs programme, at the Clinton Institute at University College Dublin, is where I learned to put structure and intention into my words, and to write about what music had taught me to notice.

Alongside it, I led culture coverage at IMPAKTER.

  4. Dublin · the kitchen2024–2026

    Three years on the line

Then I cooked. As a supervisory chef with the Bolus Restaurants Group, I learned the business side of a kitchen: invoicing, European food safety standards and tax law. I picked up A2 Spanish and Portuguese to communicate across the kitchen.

Now I ghostwrite for CEOs, founders and executives, and produce GCC360, a leadership interview podcast. Every chapter above shows up in the work.
